In Korea, the greeting expression "안녕하세요(Annyeonghaseyo)?"Can be used at any point throughtout the day. However, in more formal settings such as at the office the more formal"안녕하십니까(Annyeonghasibnikka)?" may be used.Also, when greeting a friend "안녕(Annyeong)" is used.

When two people are leaving from the same location "안녕히 가세요(Annyeonghi gaseyo)" is used by both parties.However, when one person leaves but the other remains at that location, the remaining person says"안녕히 가세요(Annyeonghi gaseyo)" while the departing person says "안녕히 계세요(Annyeonghi gyeseyo)"
